Having studied in the departments of English Language Teaching & French Language and Literature at leading universities in Turkey, I have been working now for 9 years as a certified English & French translator in almost every field of translation.

During the past six years, I have gathered extensive experience in translation from English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish into French. I worked with a wide range of topics and media such as press articles, videos, or technical reports about international trade, environmental sciences, energy, economics, politics, and arts. I also have experience with editing and proofreading.

I hold a MSc in Computer Science, Electrical engineering and Telecommunications from a leading French university and have worked for the last 15 years in various technological areas, including Cloud-based technologies (Amazon AWS, Salesforce.com), electronics, GPS and satellite software and hardware development. Freelancing gives me more time with my wife and three young boys and the flexibility to explore the world. From 1990 to 2003, I worked mainly as programmer, using various languages such as Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, SQL, Javascript and Perl and as system administrator, setting computers and networks and familiar with UNIX, and most of Windows OS and Mac OS versions. - From 2001 to 2010, I worked as French translator in an in-house translation department, translating over 7 millions words. This included company literature, magazines, services brochures, finance manuals, computers manuals, Web sites, voice over scripts and subtitles. - From 2011 to 2015, I became a Translation System Manager, implementing the SDL WorldServer solution in my department, setting up the software including workflows and filters, writing training material for the translators and translation manager and getting the system in used.
