I hold a B.A. (Languages) degree, two Project Management diplomas and a certificate in html/css and web design, as well as a TEFL diploma, amongst others. I have excellent time management skills, outstanding attention to detail and a highly professional work ethic. ​I have been editing and proofreading university theses, novel and literature manuscripts, newsletter and other publications on a freelance basis since 2002. Fluent in English, Afrikaans and German, with a strong proficiency in Dutch, I offer multiple professional linguistic services. I was employed as a Marketing and Communications Specialist in South Africa for Investec Bank, Commercial Union and Mutual & Federal. After moving to New Zealand, I became the online marketing and communications manager for Spicers Wealth Management in Auckland, followed by senior online communications manager for Tower Financial Advisory Services. I’m a German-English Translator with a strong background in translating technical, general, medical, legal, marketing and business domain texts, writing for Meta description & Titles (SEO), articles blog posts, social media posts and other branded copy.
