I finished University in 1999 and since then I have always worked in the translation field. I have good work relationships with some major global translation companies and I am used to working with a variety of offline and online CAT tools. I am always available for short translation tests to give potential clients the opportunity to try my services.

I'm an Italian TRANSLATOR, PROOFREADER, author and teacher with a degree in English Language and Literature. I translate from ENGLISH and FRENCH to ITALIAN, my native language, I have worked in the publishing field as an author and coauthor, writing and editing books, dictionaries and readers for students of English (for more than 12 years), and created crosswords and puzzles in English for a magazine published monthly (for about five years). The subjects I'm more interested in are: tourism and monuments, history, geography, literature, gardening and plants, food and drinks, art, environment, animals, hobbies, celebrations, traditions, folklore, society, religion, children's books, stories, proverbs, poems, songs, music.

I am a research doctor in Slavic studies and Ural-Altaic philology. Member of AIS (Italian Slavists Association). Native languages: Italian and Russian. I've been working as a freelance translator since 2004, therefore I can deem myself quite skilled in such a field. Being a highly responsible and qualified linguist, I firmly believe that any translated text has to flow and fit the culture of the language as well as the target audience it is written and translated for. My fields of specialization are Marketing and Web Marketing, Media and Communication, Cryptocurrencies, Clothing and Healthcare. I also cooperate with a local web agency in charge of translating and localizing websites.

My name is Guido Ballarini, I have 15 years of experience in the field as translator/editor from English to Italian and Italian proofreader. My mother tongue is Italian and I have lived for over 9 years in the United States and for 5 of these years I worked as a full-time in-house translator from English to Italian. In this period I honed my translator and CAT user skills to a very high level. I also have several years of experience as project manager, having run translation projects for over a dozen of languages for almost 3 years. Since 2007 I am a Freelance translator with hundreds upon hundreds of jobs completed and over 2 millions of words translated for a total of 15 years of experience in the field. I am a proficient user of TRADOS and Wordfast and I have completed a big project on SmartCAT so I can use it professionally too.

I have studied Tourism in high school and then decided to study Foreign Languages (German and English) in college, where I also specialized in Politics and International Relations.
