I'm a System Engineer who loves languages and live in Brazil, I've worked as translator a few times, it's not my main profession but I certanly take care about the quality of my translations because of my love for right speaking and writing.

I graduated in Translation and Language Studies (Letras) in 2004 and also work as an English and Portuguese teacher at public schools since 2005. During this period I have been working as a freelance translator and proof-reader and, truly, that is my passion.

I am a native Brazilian. My knowledge in English is based on 5 years of study in the Cultural Center for Language Studies and 4 years working as a freelancer on several outsourcing platforms.

During 10 years of work, and counting, I have already translated and/or post-edited more than three million words (2500-3000 words per day). My passion lies in translation, entrepreneurship and helping people. After studying business administration at London Metropolitan University, I began my career working in finance, energy and telecommunications in Maputo, Mozambique. In 2013, I founded Navitas Group Lda, a company that aimed to disrupt the stagnant translation market in Mozambique. Mainly, I want to focus on using translation to facilitate communication between individuals and companies, as well as participating in entrepreneurial endeavors that catalyze socio-economic development. I have a depth of experience working in telecommunications, energy and new business development as well as 19 years of experience of translation and intercultural communication. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Translation and Localization Project Management at the University of Maryland, thus honing my translation skills, incorporating CAT Tools, MT and project management techniques into our company workflow and service delivery.

My native language is Portuguese. I was certified Portuguese interpreter and translator by the state of Texas in 2004 by the Dallas County Community College System.
