In the last 8 years, I have been engaged in translation from English to Russian of the different types of texts. I take part also in project Coursera as translator-volunteer. I work as a technical (medical care field) over-the-phone Interpreter for an Ezispeak translation company. I hold 5 years of experience in the translation field. I am fluent in Russian (native language) and English languages. I also expertise in IT, business, legal, TECHNICAL ( geology, industry and equipment) translation fields. I have an experience in translating articles and writing articles for the various web-sites. I get my translation done on time and I also guarantee that my translation is accurate. Word capacity - up to 2000 words per day. It depends on an urgency of translation.

I am a native Russian speaker. My major in the University was English and German. Translation English to Russian and back has been with me during my whole career, and that is what I enjoy doing for the past 25 years.

My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.

I worked as an International Project Manager at one of the biggest private universities in Russia for several years. I constantly dealt with various documents, contracts, presentations, and official letters, which I developed in Russian and English. I conducted business negotiations and correspondence with partners. I have a higher technical education, a master's degree in civil law, and a bachelor's degree in linguistics.
