I am a freelance translator with almost four years of experience in the field of translation. I specialize in translations in rus-eng and eng-rus language pairs in the following areas: Car dealership, Banking and Investments, Business, Accounting, Annual reports, Certifications, Food products, General, Drugs and medicine, Recreation, Manuals, Marketing, Advertising and PR, Tourism, Finance. I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.

Simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between Greek and Russian is also a service I provide. My language-related hobbies include etymology and comparative linguistics. * Yes, I do speak several languages. * No, I am not fluent enought in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijani or Arabic to translate TO these languages, but I do understand them enough to translate FROM them.
