I have over 15 years of experience in the translation industry, including 5 practicing law, 5 as a freelance translator in IT-company, and 10 years as a technical translator in a well-known oil&gas company. I'm proficient with CAT-Tools and different CRMs, including skills in content localization, and project management. Native Russian and fluent English, and Finnish. I live in St. Petersburg for half a year, and half a year i live in Finland.

I'm a member of the editorial board of the academic journal 'Volga Region Farmland'. Namely, I deal with the translation of technical and agricultural scientific articles and operational manuals. The other field of my job interest is the translation and localization of game scripts for Megaloot Ltd. My interests include linguistics and translation, science, game localization.

I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.

Hi! I graduated from the Kyiv National Linguistic University with a specialization in Chinese and English Translation (a Master's degree). My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian. Foreign languages are my passion. I also know German on the B1 level. I have experience in translating medical, banking, legal, popular science subject, and journalistic articles but want to develop and improve my skills! There is no limit to perfection.
