I am familiar to main business processes including management, ISO certification, investment and start-up projects management from the stage of scope study and pre-feasibility study to the stage of Due Diligence and project delivery; procurement and supply chain activities; HR management; marketing and sales - all because I also have got an experience of working as an HR manager, SCD manager, the Head of commercial department and Assistant to CEO. I have been doing translations since 2006. I'm also running a translation agency, however that's a separate business, and you can be sure that all translations at smartcat are done by me personally. I am a certified translator, conference interpreter, engineer and Candidate of technical sciences (kandidat nauk). My language-related hobbies include etymology and comparative linguistics. * Yes, I do speak several languages. * No, I am not fluent enought in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijani or Arabic to translate TO these languages, but I do understand them enough to translate FROM them.

Within 23 years’ career in Caterpillar I had held many different positions in engineering, product support, sales, marketing and management. In the beginning of services as a technical rep of Engine Division, I was actively engaged in the translation of advertising, marketing and technical literature on diesel and gas generator sets, power trains for oil and gas industry, commercial engines. Later on was always involved in the practice of interpreting during negotiations with customers at various conferences, trainings and other events. Consistently attracted to translate complicated technical literature, such as Diagnostics & Troubleshooting, Disassembly & Assembly, Service training materials.
