I am a translator and mechanical engineer with MSc in Renewable Energy and Master's in Specialized Translation. I work full-time as a freelance translator and my working languages are English, Spanish and Catalan. My main fields of translation are mechanical engineering, automotive, robotics, information technology, renewable energy and sustainability. I have experience translating technical documents and subtitles from English to Spanish and Catalan.

I have a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Costa Rica and I am a certified translator for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have extensive experience in translating documents from assorted themes, ranging from legal, and medical matters, to environmental, marketing and business material. I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”.
