Good day. My name is Paz Sepúlveda and I have been working as a translator (and intepreter) for more than 10 years. I have a vast experience in different fields, from mining and industry to medicine and patents, as well as legal documents, certificates and books. I am proactive, quick on my feet and work well under pressure, always striving to deliver the best end product to my clients.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Certified Legal Translation, from the University of the Republic (Uruguay). I graduated in 2013. I have been working as a translator since 2011, both in-house and (mostly) freelance.

I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). As a Philosophy student I focused in the field of Linguistics, which during college I combined with my passion for learning foreign languages: French and Russian, as well as perfecting my English. My interest in language and logic has led me to specialize also in modern fields such as software development translations, gaming localization, AI input/output editing, etc. After college I started learning Arabic language, also combined with my job as an editorial coordinator for institutionalized magazines belonging to professionals' associations of engineers and industrial chambers.

Hi! I'm a professional translator from Spain with a degree in English studies: linguistics, grammar, literature and translation, and a Master's in literary translation.
