I have a background in healthcare, health policy (including economics and theories of justice for health systems), and bioethics. I have been translating and reviewing translations of texts related to healthcare and public health for Spanish speaking customers since 2005.

As a Philosophy student I focused in the field of Linguistics, which during college I combined with my passion for learning foreign languages: French and Russian, as well as perfecting my English. My interest in language and logic has led me to specialize also in modern fields such as software development translations, gaming localization, AI input/output editing, etc. After college I started learning Arabic language, also combined with my job as an editorial coordinator for institutionalized magazines belonging to professionals' associations of engineers and industrial chambers.

I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I am a professional with more than 30 years of experience in English to Spanish and Spanish to English translations. I am capable of delivering excellent quality at an affordable rate. I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”.
