I am a NATIVE Spanish speaker, from Spain. I’ve been working as a freelance translator since 2006. I am fluent in English and Portuguese and have an extensive knowledge of IT, technology, finance, economics, business, games and marketing, fields I worked in for more than 12 years. As a translator, I have been working on multiple projects for multinationals such IBM and Telefonica. On a daily basis, I translate websites, landing pages, softwares, documents, emails, banners, blogs, contracts, etc. I got my degree in Economics and Business Administration by the University of Valladolid (Spain) back in 2002. I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration by the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, one of the most prominent Universities in Spain. I have an eye for detail and deliver spotless translations. I also work quickly, without affecting the quality of the projects I work on.

Hello! My name is Vilma Hinkelammert. I´m a Costa Rican translator, a Spanish philologist and I´m studying for a Master´s Degree in linguistics. I have also worked as proofreader and copy editor for academic journals. I have experience in different fields such as education, e-commerce, linguistics, social sciences, migration and websites. I have been working as a freelance translator for the last five years and as proofreader for the last ten years. I consider myself extremely reliable when it comes to deadlines and confidentiality, and I have the necessary linguistic and cultural knowledge to adapt written English texts to Latin American Spanish.

I love translating legal documents (e.g. contracts, certificates, notarial certificates, licenses, patents, apostilles, legalizations) and other documents such as books, emails, academic transcripts, websites, and user guides.

I have a bachelors degree in Business with Marketing and Human Resources Diplomas. I've been working for more than 30 years in Translation, Transcription and Transcreation. From 1990 to 1995, I was involved in a Bible translation project for the Pemon tribe in Venezuela. At the beginning of 2012 I joined Editorial Renuevo, where I became a bilingual editor of books, which we published once a month, mostly in Spanish. Later our company committed to publishing each book in both Spanish and English versions. My skills include MS Word, creating macros in Word, Excel and Access, editing Spanish and English and translations from one to the other. I also assigned editing and translation projects to off-site workers and held weekly online meetings to keep us all sharp in our skills. I learned to program databases in Filemaker Pro, using them to help me stay in control of the department.
