I am Tevfik Server, a sworn translator. My experience covers more than years of practice and tens of thousands of written and oral translations. The most part of translations consists of audit reports, articles of association, contracts, powers of attorney, construction projects, instructions; in the last time, especially in the last two years, I work mostly on different IT projects. I frequently translate tender documents as well. I had a great opportunity to work at the long-term project for translation of documentary films for TV-channel Russian Travel Guide. It was very interesting experience, which gave me a chance to enhance my weaker sides at that time. I have my own formula for success. İstanbul 29 Mayıs Üniversitesi'nde İngilizce Mütercim-Tercümanlık bölümünde okuyorum. Medikal, teknik, pazarlama, yerelleştirmenin yanısıra kültür, sanat, edebiyat çevirisine de ilgi duyuyorum. I was born in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. During my high school years, I studied English and Arabic for four years. I started to learn Korean language two years before my high school graduation. Now I'm attending to 29 Mayıs University, Interpretation and Translation department in which I found a chance to take classes about Introduction to Translation, Translation-Oriented Text Analysis, Linguistics, Translation Technologies, Interpreting practices, Intercultural Communication Skills, Turkish for Translators, Academic Reading/Writing, Contemporary World Literature, Contemporary World Drama, World History and Arabic. I’m quite interested in literature. I like translating texts from different kind of domains such as medical, technical, literature, marketing and localization.

I have been working with many national and international translation offices on Free Lance Basis particularly in Engineering, Marketing and Business Issues particularly experienced in Contracts, Tender Documents, Marketing Documents (Such as Avon, Hilton websites, bulletins and training documents), Hazardous Materials & Emergency Response Training Files for Ministry of Defense, and also Medical Documents like MSDS, various certificates for medical devices, various types of catheter manuals and some Mechanical Engineering issues such as manuals of some Pumps, Motors, Machines and on many other issues both for translation and proofreading. For editing, I performed many translation check projects for websites of international customers such as Avon, Hilton etc.

I studied in Russia for 7 years and worked there for 3 years. I worked as a journalist, city guide, translator and interpreter. I translated documental movies for Russian Travel Guide, translated so many political, economical, touristic and sport news in a media language for Turkish news agencies and local Turkish news websites in Russia. I also translated the help section of Yandex.Mail service into Turkish language. Besides all of this, I translated so many personal documents, contracts and government documents. Unfortunately, I am not able to attach these works to my portfolio due to company and personal rights, so I decided to attach my post-secondary education diploma.
