I'm a native English speaker (FR->EN(GB) and (EN AU), living just outside Paris. I was born in the UK, brought up in Australia and have lived in Italy, Germany and France. I became a freelance translator after working with UNESCO, ESSEC business school and then pursuing a successful 16-year career in the IT division of EURONEXT, the pan-European financial exchange. As well as general cultural, scientific, educational and business translation, I specialise in banking, finance, stock market, financial IT, marketing, heavy industry, building and construction, and road and maritime transport. I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. I studied microbiology at university, then obtained a postgraduate diploma to teach biology, which I have been teaching for six years now.
