I have studied Advanced Translation as part of my course at the University of Leeds, which included journalistic, administrative, technical/scientific texts and literary texts. I graduated with a degree in Russian with Class I honours in July 2020, and since then, I have worked full time as a freelance translator and EFL teacher.

I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I am bilingual (RUS-ENG) and have a great love for languages that has led me to learn 5 other languages. I have lived in France, the US, the UK and now Austria. I have had experience in translating legal/medical/business documents. I am currently translating a fiction novel in my spare time. I have also had experience in teaching both languages for over four years. As a result, I understand the grammar structures of both languages well.
