I am a professional translator focusing on medical and scientific translations from German and Spanish to English (both UK and US). Additionally, I am also a professor at a German university teaching English as a Foreign Language to scientific and medical students.

I am a very experienced German, Spanish and French-speaking translator, localiser, proof-reader and editor of written texts from a wide variety of areas from those languages into English. I also have some experience in translating from English into German. I produce reliable and high-quality work within the fields of energy, industrial manufacturing, marketing, market research, sales, the environment, and also automotive, electrical, machine and plant engineering. To expand my skills and knowledge, I lived in France, Germany, Poland and Spain for a total of approximately 7 years. I have 31 years of experience teaching and tutoring all levels of Spanish. With a Master's Degree in the Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College, VT, I consider myself to be a grammar expert, in addition to being fluent in the language. I had study abroad experiences in Mexico prior to living in Madrid during graduate school. In 2010 I spent the Winter-Spring semester traveling throughout Argentina and homeschooling my then 3rd grade son and 7th grade daughter. Also in 2010, I began a summer language immersion program, True Immersion, LLC, in Sevilla, Spain for American teens - which continues today. I am highly proficient in Italian - primarily self-taught - but have also studied at the Lorenzo de Medici and Centro Firenze language schools in Florence over the last 14 years.
