During my studies I have been in America for an exchange and since then I keep practicing my English. Now I live in Amsterdam where I am working as a freelance. I live in the US since 1994 and I'm working as a Translator/Proofreader -French (France and Belgium), English (UK/US), Spanish (Spain/Latin America/US), some Italian to English (2007-present) and French, and Consecutive Interpreter - French, English, Spanish (2009-present) - currently in NY. For certain advanced/expert translation, I'm more comfortable translating into English. I hold an Associates of Arts degree from Westchester Community College and a Masters of Arts and Bachelors of Arts in Spanish, with a Minor concentration/specialisation in Italian from Iona College, Cum Laude ( similar to with distinction or with honours mention). I'm a Candidate in the Spanish to English Translation Programme at NYU CPS (NY University School of Continuing and Professional Studies) to earn my Translation Certificates and pursuing continuing adult education/professional translation studies at Translation and Interpreter Training at International School of Linguists and other companies. I also hope to become an accomplished author/writer and poet.

I am currently enrolled in a Multilingual Master in Psycho- and Neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). I studied French, Latin and English language and literature at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). I also have studied medicine at the University of Liège (ULiège).

I am an English-Haitian Creole translator with about 6 years of experience in this field. I have an Excellent knowledge of the English language while being a native Haitian Creole speaker and living in Haiti. I do both medical and general translations. I have worked on religious and educational project such as translation of books for kids, books that are used to teach Haitian Creole. During the course of my studies at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies I acquired a solid base in linguistics. Now I am studying at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University to get a second bachelor's degree in Biomedical appliances, which makes medicine and medical devices the area of special interest for me. I have extensive experience in technical (user manuals, technical guides, specification sheets, patents, software documentation, etc.), medical (clinical studies, articles, medical equipment manuals, clinical research, etc.) and legal (contracts, certificates, apostilles) translation as well as in marketing and website localization.
