My name is Fanni, and I am currently studying International Business Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest. My native language is Hungarian, but besides that I speak English at an advanced level and I have an intermediate level Business Italian language certificate, moreover, I am preparing for an advanced level Business Italian language exam at the moment. I have translated theses, contracts, commercial texts and social media posts before, of which you can find some in my portfolio. I am a full-time freelance translator with a BA in EN-IT translation obtained in 2001 from SSIT School of Milan. I have worked as in-house translator in the architect studio Eliotopia (Milan) for about a year, until I started to focus on my freelance carreer. It still remained one of my main clients throughout the years. I grew up in my family business, an international female, male and children's apparel store, making of fashion one of my specialty fields. After travelling from Ireland to Australia, I have settled in the pitoresque city of Cremona, cradle of ancient traditions and Stradivari violins. I am a freelance translator based in Milan. During my university years I have collaborated with many translation agencies, and now I am starting my freelance business. I have graduated with full marks in Linguistic and cultural mediation in 2019, with a thesis on the translation of a french user guide about e-agriculture. I have attended courses on literary translation, specialized translation, interpreting - chuchotage, conference interpreting and consecutive interpreting. I have done traineeships in 3 different LSP based in Milan, and I worked in each one during 3 months. I have improved my hard skills and I have gained some important soft skills - as teamwork, problem-solving and lateral thinking. I have translated more than 15'000 in a range of subjects: general, agriculture, cosmetics and many others.

I’m a translator working from English, German and French into Italian. I graduated from the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators in Florence where I got a University Diploma (1998) EN>IT - DE>IT. I began to work as foreign language expert and manager assistant for an international architect in Florence (1999-2002). After a couple of years, I joined a buying office (2002-2006 ) - dealing with the fashion industry, first as a translator, and then, as a production and logistics coordinator. I'm a freelance translator since 2007. I'm a TAUS certified Post Editor, Quality Manager and Transcreator. My fields of specialization are Marketing and Web Marketing, Media and Communication, Cryptocurrencies, Clothing and Healthcare. I also cooperate with a local web agency in charge of translating and localizing websites.
