I have been working as translator since the graduation from University for foreign languages where I studied English, Italian and German language. My work as interpreter and translator is based on work in retail, marketing, law firm, NGO on protection for human rights. I am a full-time freelance translator with a BA in EN-IT translation obtained in 2001 from SSIT School of Milan. I’m a translator working from English, German and French into Italian. I graduated from the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators in Florence where I got a University Diploma (1998) EN>IT - DE>IT. I began to work as foreign language expert and manager assistant for an international architect in Florence (1999-2002). After a couple of years, I joined a buying office (2002-2006 ) - dealing with the fashion industry, first as a translator, and then, as a production and logistics coordinator. I'm a freelance translator since 2007. I'm a TAUS certified Post Editor, Quality Manager and Transcreator. I'm a professional translator from English, French, Japanese into Italian (native speaker). I specialise in subtitles for TV shows, films and corporate videos but I also translate a wide range of texts, spanning from marketing and legal texts to videogame and software localisation. I work hard to ensure that the text is not only correct and accurate, but also natural. It means that I thoroughly research and study each topic I’m tasked with. The key words of my work are accuracy and reliability. When I translate my goal is to convey the message of the source text in the most correct and clearest way possible, without losing the perspective of how an Italian text should be written. I’ve also learned to find the best creative solutions for what cannot be expressed in the target language, solutions which are still consistent with the source message.
