In 2018, I graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Economics with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics. I majored in Translation in Economics and Finance. My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.
