I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.

I have lived in Norway, Austria and Slovakia for several years, worked on freelance basis as a teacher or translator. In my current work as public policy manager I often do translations related to law, politics and various sectors of economy, paying close attention to the detail and meaning.

Apart from IT and technical translations I enjoy translating marketing materials, articles and literature, especially short stories. In my free-time I teach Pilates, go hiking in beautiful Slovak mountains, do some baking at home, or read biography books.

I am native Czech speaker, freelance translator and interpreter. I do mostly general, business, legal, medical and technical translations. During my 11 years stay in London I started working as an interpreter for few companies. I was interpreting to clients in hospitals, clients in social services and on art exhibitions. I have been also tranlating and proofreading projects, documents and surveys from English to Czech, Czech to English, English to Slovak, Slovak to English in number of London based call centres, and other types of businesses and individuals. I started volunteering as a freelance interpreter back in 2013, and finally got some work experience 2 years later. I've been doing freelance and privately contracted work for about two and a half years now. I have an advanced level fluency in Slovak, though I speak Czech and Russian very well also. The languages I've worked with most are Slovak and Czech, but because I'm in Moscow, I'm doing a lot of Russian right now. I prefer translating from other languages into English, but I'm willing to work either way.
